1. Rates quoted are exclusive of Gratuity, STC*, VAT, clean air surcharge, fuel surcharge, car parking, airport pick-up charges, and telephone charges and are subject to change without notice. Please note as of 8th April 2019, a compulsory ‘Clean Air Surcharge’ of 7% is added to all London based services. This is a government-imposed tax for all vehicles entering/crossing the congestion charge zone.
2. A Point-to-Point journey is defined as one in which a passenger is carried directly from a pick-up to a destination; the pickup or drop-off must be in the London Postal Area or major London Airport. Any other journey will be deemed ‘As Directed’ and charged accordingly.
3. Any waiting time will be charged at the standard hourly rate.
4. As-directed charges start and finish at the originating Carey location. Point-to-Point journeys are charged based on driven mileage whilst the passenger is on board.
5. Rates quoted are exclusive of £13.65 parking fee from airports and any drop-off fee which is charged at cost
6. Transfer rates are for direct journeys, point-to-point to or from London Postal Codes or Airports; waiting time is not included and will be charged at the standard hourly rate. We allow 60 minutes of free waiting at Airports and 15 minutes of free waiting time at all other pick-ups.
7. Gratuities / Service Charges are charged at 10% or other amount as agreed with the customer.
8. Bank holiday surcharges are 25%, excepting Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve after 18:00, and New Year’s Day when a 100% Surcharge will be applied.
9. Evening hire rates are charged on hires commencing between 18:30 and 20:00 from London postal areas to Restaurants /Theatres in the West End and City

11. These local corporate rates are only available to business customers with the authorisation of a Carey Sales Manager and are not subject to commission or discount.

*STC (Surface Transportation Charge) will be charged to all car hire rentals. STC is a surcharge based upon various overhead expenses and is ordinarily calculated as a flat percentage of your base rate charge, and may vary according to level of usage.
